Frequently asked questions

We have a cleaning company, why do we need 360hygiene as well?

Traditional cleaning companies are good at vacuuming, dusting, emptying the rubbish, they are often not specialised in providing a you hygienic workspace.  360hygiene guarantees to provide you with a healthier more hygienic workspace than you have now. We can reduce bacterial contamination from your washrooms, cafeteria, touch points by up to 96% over your current cleaning services. That's a huge opportunity to reduce the spread of infection and to reduce sick-leave, many of our customers are able to reduce absenteesim by up to 30% or more.

What is the difference between cleaning and sanitising?

Broadly speaking cleaning is the removal of dirt and grime, sanitising is the elimination of bacteria and viruses. There's a lot more proprietary know-how and expertise required to achieve a sanitised environment, such as knowing how different chemicals penetrate and kill different viruses and bacteria. Which product is going to be best for your environment, what concentration is required and how much dwell-time is needed. For example bleach based products kill bacteria quite quickly but are generally slower to kill viruses. Bleach based products can take as much as 30 minutes to effectively kill bacteria and viruses, quite impractical in most of today's commercial environments.

We already have a hygiene company providing our washroom supplies what's the difference with 360hygiene?

Most "hygiene" companies provide and service the equipment you have in your washrooms such as sanitary dispsoal units and air freshener systems. Where 360hygiene differs is with our unique sanitising solutions and antimicrobial surface protectants, we guarantee to reduce the bacterial presence in your workspace making it healthier and more hygienic. Many of our customers have their cleaning company and traditional hygiene services provider with 360 implementing our sanitising solutions, eventually consolidating their traditional hygiene services with 360.

How much does it cost to have our washrooms and cafeteria sanitised?

Our pricing depends on how many washrooms, cafeteria and contact points you have to sanitise. However what you could save in lost productivity and reduced absenteesim would more than pay for the cost of any sanitising, effectively it becomes cost-neutral. Get in contact and we can provide you a no-obligation proposal.

What is an ATP bacterial swab analysis?

An ATP bacterial swab analysis is where we take a physical swab sample from your washrooms, cafeteria, contact points and "hot zones". We use our "luminometer" portable detection device to analyse and deliver a highly accurate reading that details your level of hygiene. ATP analysis is a highly effective tool for measuring the amount of biological contamination present, as such it's employed worldwide thoughout the food service and food production sectors, healthcare and laboratories and waste water management.

What does it mean when you say you guarantee our hygiene?

360hygiene guarantees to provide a healthier more hygienic workspace than you currently have. We do this by validating our sanitising and antimicrobial surface protectant treatments with before and after ATP analysis. If we don't provide you with a healthier environment we won't charge you!

Don't we need to be exposed to germs and bacteria to build immunity?

This is a contentious issue, however there is no scientific evidence to support that exposure to harmful bacteria builds immunity. It is theorised this could be helpful and there is herd theory, however these aren’t yet proven. Doctors and scientists agree a healthy diet and good personal hygiene practices are the best way to build a strong immune system and avoid infections.

The cost of poor hygiene seems so intangible, how can I put a dollar value on it?

It can be hard to quantify the value of good hygiene. There are intangibles such as the visual cleanliness of the workspace or washrooms and the appreciation of customers and employees that their needs are being met in a professional manner. However, it is quantifiable; on average the cost of sick-leave per employee is $1,132 annually, multiply this by the number of employees and you have an average annual sick-leave cost. If your business is in professional services’, the cost could significantly higher. People have an average of 3.2 days sick-leave per year, multiply this by the average hourly rate, then by the number of employees. If you charge-out billable hours, calculate the lost productivity by multiplying your billable rate by 3.2 days by the number of employees - these numbers can escalate quickly. Business which practice good hygiene can reduce their sick-leave by as much as 30%, in some cases more. Practicing good hygiene can significantly improve productivity and profitability adding thousands of dollars to the bottomline.

Do you cater for any size of business?

It doesn't matter how big or small your business is, we can implement a hygiene service tailored specifically to you.

Which service does my workplace need?

It is almost impossible to say what services you may require without undertaking a hygiene audit. After all we can't tell how hygienic your workplace is just by looking at it. A hygiene audit will tell us exactly what you need, more importantly it will tell us what you don't. If you implement our hygiene services your initial hygiene audit will be free as it will be the baseline for future analysis and validation.

Aren’t germs mainly contracted via air conditioner systems?

Modern air conditioners use filtration systems to eliminate bacteria, if they are being serviced regularly they are quite hygienic. About 80 percent of infections are contracted by touch from the contaminated surfaces we share everyday. This occurs when people cough and sneeze or don't wash their hand effectively, then deposit those germs on all the things they touch and share with you throughout the day.

Doesn’t using hand sanitisers or hand washing too often reduce our immunity?

No, our greatest defense against infections is regular hand washing. The majority of infections we contract are from our hands when we touch our nose, ears, eyes and mouth, good hand hygiene significantly reduces infection rates.

For how long is bacteria infectious?

Infection-causing bacteria can survive for up to 72 hours on hard surfaces, providing ample opportunity for transmission to occur. Remember traditional cleaning services offer very little residual protections, as soon people arrive at work they begin sharing their infections and germs. 360hygiene antimicrobial surface protectant applications protect from this, effectively creating a health safe barrier between your and your co-workers.
